It was 5:30pm in Pitt Street Mall and hundreds of assorted nerds had queued up inside awaiting the opening of the newest EB Games and ZiNG Pop Culture store. The event was open to any and all who happened to show up, though those who took their time in arriving got good use of their handhelds while the crowds before them flooded the shop floor. ZiNG is EB’s pop culture provider, selling a wide range of merchandise from tabletop games, collectibles, figurines and accessories and currently has almost fifty store-fronts Australia-wide.
Matt Falloon (rubbermancer extraordinairre), Piltover City Customs and Adzimus were in attendance among others to help publicise the event and get people into the mood.
The Pitt Street Mall store is the largest permanent EBZ to open worldwide (with the EB Expo being the largest, but only for one weekend per year) and even if you can’t make it, the ZiNG online store has just gone live so you can grab merch direct from their site.
We hope everyone who attended the grand opening had a super rad time and we’ll see you all at EB Expo this September/October!
